If you don’t find what you are looking for below, check out these links. You can start with reviewing the video below that shows you the basics. There are additional details you can include in a calendar entry. The video just starts with the basics to get you started. There are some additional details listed further down on this page.
Login Information
- Go to www.trumba.com. In the top right hand corner, click on “Sign In.”
- Fill in the information listed below, based on which account you have been assigned to use:
- Email Address: michelle@schoolwebmasters.com

Password: trumba - Email Address: melanie@schoolwebmasters.com

Note: Once you sign in, there will be a calendar displayed. You will need to find the correct calendar you are trying to edit. To do this, over to the left hand side, there will be a list with each school district. Each district will have a tiny box to the left of its name with either a plus or a minus. Click on this to hide or show each school in that district. Once you have located the district, click on the name of the district or a particular school (not the check box) you are editing information for. This calendar will now show as the big calendar to the right.
IMPORTANT: You must be completely positive that you are editing the correct calendar. The calendar you are editing will show up across the colored bar at the top of the screen.

If a Client Wants to Manage Their Own Trumba Calendar
If a client really wants to keep control and manage their own calendar events (and still use the Trumba calendar), we can offer them a Trumba Editor account, which means that we still own the account and take care of all of the styling, but they would have access to add/edit events. There is a $30 per month fee for access to it, which we can add to the client’s monthly hosting/updates invoice. This additional fee is what Trumba charges us, with no upcharge on our part. If the client would like this option, please contact Melanie to set it up.
Creating New Calendars and Subcalendars
In Trumba , you organize your events on calendars. As a best practice, we recommend devoting a calendar to each district or school. This approach gives you the flexibility to mix calendars together and publish different combinations of events.
You can create as many calendars as you want. You can also indicate relationships among calendars by making some calendars children of parent calendars. We call the children subcalendars and the parents top-level calendars. Most often, the top-level calendars will be the district calendars, and the subcalendars will be the school calendars.
Creating a New Calendar
- Go to the Trumba Connect home page.
- Click Sign in to sign in to your Trumba account.
- To the left of your calendar, under Calendar Tasks, click Create a new calendar.
- On the Create a new calendar page, for Calendar name, type a name for the new calendar. You will want the name of the calendar to be the same as the district or school to avoid any confusion.
- Under Relationship to Other Calendars, for Top-level calendar, make sure Yes is selected.
- At the bottom of the page, click OK.
- The new calendar becomes active and appears in the Current Calendar list.
Creating a Subcalendar
- Click the down arrow to the right of the top-level calendar’s name.
- Click Create sub-calendar.
- In the Settings form, for Calendar name, type a name for the new subcalendar. For example, you might type “Sunrise Elementary.”
- Under Relationship to Other Calendars, for Sub-calendar of, choose the top-level calendar that has already been created.
- Click OK.
- The new subcalendar appears in the Current Calendar list, indented under the top-level calendar.
- Repeat steps 1 through 5 to create a second subcalendar.
