Frequently Asked Questions
We all have questions! Do you have questions about using WordPress or about the transition process? Please check below to see if we can answer your question right away. Do you have a question that isn’t already answered below? Please email us so we can help. We will update this page as things come up, so be sure to check back often!
What is the best way to log in and explore the new system?
The best way to log in and explore the system is to go to the SW Staff Training site using this link: http://wptest.wsos.com/wsos-admin
How do I log in to access client websites?
When working in WordPress, you will always navigate to the website first. Then you will add “/wsos-admin” to the end of the URL. This will bring you to the login screen for the account. Yes, this means you will need to enter your login details for every website. The system will remember your login for a certain period of time, approximately 48 hours, but if you check the “Remember Me” box, that time extends for up to two weeks.
Do we know which sites are in WP and which ones we continue updating with SWEngine?
As of right now (4/28/23), we only have one client with a live site in WordPress. This is Premier Prep Online Academy, and you can email Michelle if you see a request for them in the portal. We will quickly add to that list over the next couple months. We are still working on our process for determining which system you need to update. As soon as this part of the process is worked out, we will let you know.
Are we going to stop using Trumba?
Yes, we will eventually stop using Trumba. We will continue to use Trumba for our SWEngine accounts, but for websites in WordPress, we will use the Events plug-in.
Do we count learning this new system under "training"?
Yes, the time you spend familiarizing yourself with the system on the SW Staff Training site and watching training videos should be tagged as department training. Once we start giving you projects to help us transfer sites from SWEngine into WordPress, you will use a different code for that work.
Will clients still submit their requests the same way?
Yes, clients will still submit their requests through our request portal.
Will we access all the sites we do now? Or have certain sites assigned to each of us?
We will still have the same business model with updaters having access to all client sites. No, we will not be assigning sites to any one specific person.
